Confirm the vehicle’s fuel requirement

Tell us the make, model and correct fuel type for your vehicle. If you are unsure, say so; do not guess. Share whether you believe the vehicle simply ran out or whether something else happened before it stopped. The dispatcher can confirm whether fuel delivery is appropriate and available for the details you provide.

If the wrong fuel was added, or if you notice a leak or another unusual problem, make that clear at the beginning of the call. Fuel delivery is a specific roadside service and is not a repair for every fuel-related issue. We can discuss whether a different next step is needed.

Give us a location we can work with

An address is useful, but a highway exit, mile marker or nearby business can also help. Explain whether the vehicle is in a lot, driveway or roadside location. Tell us about any entrance instructions or limited access. On a divided road, the direction of travel helps us approach the right side.

If the vehicle is in an unsafe position or there is immediate danger, contact emergency services. Let us know about the situation when you call. You do not need to leave the vehicle’s location to look for fuel before asking about delivery.

Discuss the delivery details first

Ask about the fuel available, the amount to be delivered, the expected total cost and the current arrival estimate. Make sure the conversation covers both the roadside service and fuel charge. Delivery can help with an empty tank, but it cannot guarantee that a vehicle with another problem will start. If it does not, we can discuss towing or another appropriate next step.
